I think drugs are a bad thing for everyone. People who use drugs have bought them from someone, paid money for them, and with that money, more drugs are bought and sold. As a result, the user also helps drug trade in some way. So yes, users are partly part of the selling process. Every step they take depends on their addiction. They are not fully responsible and don’t understand what they are doing. I think society sees drugs as something bad, and accepting or not accepting it doesn’t really change people’s opinions. Everyone is equal before the law, it doesn’t matter if a crime is done because of addiction or for another reason the punishment is the same. In my opinion, all drug users start using because of some personal problem, but sometimes people start even without a problem. People usually look at drug users in a bad way, so even if the law accepts it, society may not. Punishing them helps reduce drug use. We should also think about their health, feel compassion, and help them stop using drugs.
